Tips for Completing Battlefield 3 - Basic Missions # 080
Tracked vehicles
It is safe to say that for every "beginner" in driving virtual cars, driving a tracked vehicle will be the most intuitive. This is due to the functioning of their power plant, which allows the vehicle to turn in place without having to move forward or backward. It also facilitates the access of these vehicles to places inaccessible to conventional wheeled vehicles.
Aiming a weapon in this technique takes place regardless of the movement of the car itself - you can go north, while shooting at the enemy in the east. This is due to the mobile tower, which can rotate 360 degrees around its axis (but only 30 degrees vertically).
This configuration makes driving such a vehicle the closest thing to driving a character on foot from the player's point of view. Most tracked vehicles have an extra seat for the shooter, who can fire a machine gun independently of the driver. This tandem is especially useful when the threat comes from aircraft, as the shooter can fire at a much higher angle than the driver. Single players, faced with such a situation, often sacrifice mobility and switch to the shooter's position, for example, to have a chance with an approaching helicopter. However, it should be noted that the effectiveness of such tactics is very limited, especially when the enemy pilot knows what he is doing.
If the enemy manages to target the car with a thermal/laser guided weapon, you should never fire missiles. This is the basic mistake of newbies, which will always cost them their car and/or their lives. Before launching the missiles, wait until the player hears a very fast high signal (low signal means capture) - this means that the enemy's missile has been launched.
Only then is it a good time to launch rockets. This is the only way to be sure that the missile will actually hit the target. Premature firing of missiles will lead to the enemy losing the captured target only temporarily. However, it must be remembered that rockets always recharge faster.
When driving any tracked vehicles (this also applies to sapper robots), be careful not to get into uncontrolled rotation when cornering at low speeds. This mostly happens when going uphill, making a very sharp turn and adding gas. Download anime games
